Lin Yu lives by the principle, "If you can lie down, don't sit." He hides his true self in a cave and sends his clones out to deliver food and work as bodyguards. Though his clones can be reborn after death, every death leaves his true self hopping around in pain. Delivering food activates the "Food Courier's Sixth Sense," making people mistake him for a hidden master. Scaring bandits off with a tree branch gets him mistaken for a hermit master by the escort agency's young lady. More absurdly, a clone uses a cultivation manual as toilet paper and accidentally activates the "Happy Couch Potato Physique."
He establishes the Layabout Saint Cult and holds a Lie-Flat Competition; develops a "Slacking Energy Core" that generates bioenergy from doing nothing; and even launches an anti-overwork war, using "Lie-Flat Rays" to fight back against the rat race. In the end, Lin Yu achieves the ultimate state of the "Way of Slacking." His planet becomes the "Ultimate Slacker's Paradise," and the universe gives rise to the "Slacker Star People," who worship him as their creator god. As for Lin Yu, he is still in the Heavenly Dao's realm, agonizing over which new anime to watch, embarking on one absurd and wonderful slacking adventure after another.
