Bai An. He does his best to stay gentle and patient, but inside, his snark knows no bounds.
Cheng Feng. A veteran soldier, seemingly hot-tempered but really a born caretaker.
Winter arrives, and poor Bai An, a male kindergarten teacher, is reading a storybook to the children when the parents' group chat suddenly erupts: “There are patients biting people at the hospital! So many people have been bitten!”
An urgent notice follows: “Residents, please stay indoors and keep your doors and windows shut! Wait patiently at home!”
Holding a copy of The Three Little Pigs, Bai An looks down at the five children who came to kindergarten despite the freezing temperatures and falls into deep thought.
Bai An is the only male teacher at Sunshine Kindergarten. His motto in life is, “The kids may torment me a thousand times, but I’ll love them as if they were my first love.” He thought the worst part of life was working as a kindergarten teacher, until one snowy day, he saw a security guard with half a leek pastry still in his mouth lurch toward him, his neck twisted to one side.
Aaaah! The zombie apocalypse has begun!
And it gets worse:
The extreme cold makes even the zombies slip and slide, but humans are about to freeze into popsicles too. Meanwhile, the five little monsters keep asking, “Teacher, why isn’t the zombie uncle wearing long johns?”
Oh, and there’s one person he can count on: the uncle of one of his students, who a year ago mistook him for a child trafficker and pinned him to the ground. His enemy, at least as far as Bai An is concerned.
Wait! Why do I still have to look after kids during the apocalypse!?
