When a friend takes on a job that reeks of bad luck, Nie Shuang returns to her hometown with her, only to keep getting trapped in ghostly loops.
They reach the village, but there isn’t a living soul in sight, except within Nie Shuang’s own courtyard. The people in town seem to know nothing about it.
Then come errands from the underworld, her friend being dragged away by a vengeful spirit, and inexplicable ghosts and filthy things… Every strange incident points to something that happened several hundred years ago.
