After Slacking Off on a Dating Show, My Rival and I Became a Viral Top-Tier Star Duo

[System + Showbiz + Two Top-Tier Stars + Live Comments + Bickering Sweethearts + Top-Tier Romantic Tension]

Washed-up actress Ruan Jiujiu is nicknamed “the queen of phoning it in” in the entertainment industry. After snapping at a commenter during a livestream with, “You’re hating on me? If you’re so good, why don’t you do it yourself?” her agency shoves her into the romance reality show Pretending We’re Madly in Love as a sacrificial contestant.

Who knew she’d bind herself to a “Hate-to-Fame System”: the more she slacks off, the more popular she gets!

So she lets loose completely:

When the production crew sets up a “livestream from the villa,” she pulls out Five Years of College Entrance Exams, Three Years of Practice Tests and starts grinding through problems. “Men? Math gets my heart racing more!”

While the other guests go on sweet dates, she stays home gaming with her male partner. “A dating reality show? No, this is an esports show!”

The rest of the time, she’s either slacking off or on her way to slacking off.

The problem is, her “pretend couple” is Lu Yan, a top-tier heartthrob who seems cold and chaste but is actually her childhood friend and sworn rival.

Forced to play along as a couple, the two end up with this:

“His good-boy image is falling apart faster than the A-share market!”

Ruan Jiujiu takes the chance to twist the knife: “Don’t panic, everyone. He once forgot his lines in a school play in elementary school and cried!”

Lu Yan shoots back with a cold laugh: “When you fell off the horizontal bar as a kid, you bawled so loudly that half the playground could hear you!”

The production crew goes crazy, the audience loves it, and the ship fans lose their minds:

“Are these two lunatics actually for real?!”
