The Blood Moon Rises: A Record of Strange Tales

When the blood moon tears open the night sky, urban legends awaken from nightmares. Unemployed wage slave Zhou Qingyuan witnesses a celestial anomaly after a night of drinking and is swept into a supernatural vortex overnight. From a strange, rotten-smelling shadow at the mouth of an alley to a skeletal street appearing out of thin air, some power within him awakens in terror, drawing the bloody hunt of unknown creatures. When the metal hook of the Skinning Old Man grazes his spine, he unexpectedly transmigrates through a red flash to the other side of the police cordon, becoming the naked alley-running "Bare-Bottomed Hero" and tearing a slime monster apart with brute force. Meanwhile, police officer Zhang Liming discovers a bizarre, carbonized corpse in Wutong Alley. Thirty-seven missing-person cases across the city push conventional criminal investigation into a dead end. When the "charlatan" Spirit Case Squad parachutes in to seize control, the black mist floating above the forensic autopsy table and the reflections in the camera blind spots gradually piece together a blood moon curse spanning a century. When human bullets cannot pierce the shadows, the awakened ones' naked instincts become their last weapon. Every night, Zhou Qingyuan wanders in the moonlight along the boundary between reality and nightmare, dodging soul-hunting hellhounds while fighting the primitive urges stirring inside him. And the woman's voice that always murmurs in the fog is luring him toward an indescribable altar. This is not merely a scream for survival, but the ultimate struggle between civilization and instinct. When the blood moon becomes a second sun, who is the real prey?
