Chinatown: I'm Zhang Wei, Zhang as in Arrogant

In the 19th century, Zhang Wei arrives in San Francisco's Chinatown. Forced into indentured labor, he escapes being sent to build railroads and gains a golden finger.

Here, Chinese laborers are branded “inferior” just like Black people.

They have no rights. The white foreigners don't want Chinese people living here, which is why the tongs came into being.

This is a place full of every kind of person, and Zhang Wei claws his way up step by step.

Here, Zhang Wei is known as “the Madman.”

He says, “I didn't cross half the world just to become an indentured laborer here!”
