I Became a Ghostly Cashier at a Convenience Store

[One heroine + Not mindless + Chuunibyou + Goofy + Surely a humorous supernatural story won't scare anyone?]

“Welcome! The despair you asked for is on special tonight.”

Xiao Yuze, a convenience store night-shift clerk, never expected the faded red string buried deep in the shelves to turn him into a “payment code” for supernatural incidents.

To stay alive, I form a “death-seeking squad” with my sharp-tongued childhood friend, the beautiful sales clerk I secretly love, and a talkative delivery rider. We use hair dye to fake an ECG, scare away ghosts by rubbing chip bags to make sound waves, and even arrange instant noodle cups into a distress signal...

Every time the red string is used, a little more humanity slips away. When his emotions freeze over completely, will he still be a “qualified player”?
