Ming Dang, a senior on the verge of graduation, was already tearing her hair out over the job hunt when, late one night, she received a mysterious email:
"We cordially invite you to become a 'World BUG Inspector.' Excellent benefits, meals and accommodation provided, six types of insurance and two housing funds, and travel across countless worlds."
At first, she thought it was a prank or some new kind of scam. But the moment she clicked "Accept," the world before her abruptly collapsed and rearranged itself.
She had been transported to an unfamiliar time and place, and a cold, mechanical voice rang in her ears:
"Welcome aboard."
And so Ming Dang began her fantastical career:
- In an ancient dynasty, she discovered that the emperor, who was supposed to unite the realm, had suddenly become obsessed with farming, throwing the entire historical timeline into chaos.
- In the distant future, an insectoid race that was supposed to go extinct inexplicably evolved into hopeless romantics, turning the battlefield into a speed-dating event.
- In a xianxia world, the aloof master had a coding glitch and was compelled to dance at every sunrise...
"How can this BUG be so ridiculous?!"
Grumbling all the while, Ming Dang gripped her inspection device as she patched flaws and corrected storylines in countless broken worlds, and, along the way... rescued the protagonists whose characters had been derailed by BUGs.
However, as her missions grew more involved, she gradually discovered that these BUGs might not be accidental...
