Yu Zao'er

This book is an epic spanning the Republican era, the War of Resistance against Japan, the founding of New China, and the modern age. The stories of these women, whether wealthy society wives or women of the old days with bound feet, form a condensed history of modern China and an ode to the strength of women. Amid the tides of their times, they shine like brilliant stars, illuminating the skies of history and inspiring generation after generation of women to find their own light in every field.
