Its world is built on traditional Chinese mythology, featuring elements such as Yang Jian, the Jade Pool, the Celestial Court, and the Weakwater River.
It includes classic cultivation settings such as immortal cultivation systems, magical artifacts like the Kunlun Mirror and Immortal-Binding Rope, and supernatural abilities like the Seventy-Two Transformations.
But it subverts the traditional mythological framework with a science-fiction reinterpretation, such as “the Celestial Court is an AI system” and “the immortals are experimental subjects.”
Soft Science Fiction/Cyber Mythology
It blends theology and technology: “the Jade Emperor is the central control AI,” “souls are converted into data,” and “Jin Chanzi is a machine.”
It explores science-fiction concepts such as spacetime theories, parallel universes, temporal anchors, cloning, and uploading consciousness.
Its style is a mashup of Cyberpunk 2077 and Investiture of the Gods.
A Spacetime Reincarnation Epic
The main story follows seven cycles of reincarnation.
It features mind-bending concepts like time paradoxes, altered memories, and conflicts in the laws of cause and effect.
Its view of spacetime is reminiscent of Steins;Gate and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
