A vast, boundless continent teeming with spiritual energy, where the elemental powers of Wood, Metal, Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, and Thunder flow everywhere.
The Lingxiao Sword Sect has stood for a thousand years, secure in its place as the greatest sect under Heaven. While using the sect’s techniques, the second son of the sect unexpectedly discovers a world-shaking secret.
To uncover the truth, he invites the top young talents from the leading sects of every region to investigate the Southern Sands Domain. No one could have foreseen that the entire party would be wiped out. Every soul lamp goes dark, and only the second son of Lingxiao remains unaccounted for, dead or alive.
At the same time, Shen Shiqi, a scientist from a research institute, accidentally transmigrates to another world and becomes a beggar in a small village, where he and his good friend Ergou depend on each other.
With his exceptional intelligence and people skills, he grows stronger step by step. In the end, he uncovers the secret behind the sect’s destruction, then battles and annihilates the evil forces of another race.
Only then does he realize he has long been caught up in a world-shaking game of fate spanning multiple planes. To break the shackles of the Great Dao and sever the karmic power of the game board, he and his companions join forces to lay the Seven Luminaries Spirit-Gathering Formation.
In the end, he slays the gods of the Heavenly Domain, comprehends the Way of the Spear, and pierces the shackles of Heaven with the spear in his hand. He ascends to the Upper Realm with his companions, beginning a new chapter.
