Rebel Against Fate is a fantasy novel blending transmigration, cultivation, and mystery. When modern young man Xie Shiwen unexpectedly transmigrates into the cultivation novel The Immortal Lord Above, the very book he used to poke fun at, he becomes its identically named cannon-fodder character: the senior disciple of the Jiuxiao Sect. The original character became a cripple after his spiritual meridians were destroyed and died in a fall from a cliff at the very beginning. Unwilling to accept his fate, Xie Shiwen binds himself to a mysterious System and vows to fix the story’s derailed plot, only to discover that he has been swept into a shocking game far beyond the original novel.
The male lead, Ye Haocheng, was supposed to be cold and ruthless, but his path as a classic overpowered hero changes because of Xie Shiwen. Their charged entanglement while detoxifying in a cave and their life-and-death bond over a sword tomb’s inheritance awaken in this chosen one an obsession that goes beyond master and disciple. Meanwhile, a demonic plot that was not supposed to emerge until the middle of the story erupts three years early: a demon-corrupted thunderbeast in a secret realm, a deadly ambush by a demon envoy from the Northern Wastelands, and a suspicious traitor within the sect. Every clue conceals a hidden mystery. More alarming still, an unseen hand is rewriting the original plot from beginning to end: Ye Haocheng’s Ice Phoenix bloodline awakens ahead of time, the seal on the Demon-Suppressing Abyss inexplicably weakens, and even the System hides a mystery surrounding its permissions.
In this contest against an unknown force, Xie Shiwen is both the one trying to correct the story and a pawn in the game. He navigates the icy junior disciple’s burning affections, his fellow disciples’ life-and-death crises, and the sect elders’ secret schemes, gradually uncovering the terrifying truth behind the story’s collapse. When the Demon Lord’s bloodline collides with the Sword God’s inheritance, and System missions clash with choices of the heart, this cultivation journey will break free of the original novel’s constraints and reach an ending no one could have foreseen. Will he rewrite fate, or become a sacrifice in the game? The answer lies in the cracks of every “accident”
The writing is good. After experiencing a book shortage, I was amazed when I read this book. The world view is wonderful, the setting is also good, the whole process is thoughtful, and the plot is compact.
This book is very interesting. Each character has his or her own unique characteristics.
