At a reception after a financial summit, investment banking star Yu Tianxi, representing the organizers, mingles with the guests and shows off her professional elegance.
A sudden fire shatters the calm. In the ensuing chaos, Yu Tianxi is trapped in a corner.
Pei Jinnian, president of the Pei Group, ignores his assistant's attempts to stop him and rushes into the blaze. He wraps Yu Tianxi in his wet suit jacket and carries her to safety.
Afterward, Yu Tianxi discovers that her rescuer is none other than the industry’s “cold-blooded devil.” The burn scar on his wrist piques her curiosity.
