He is Chu Xiao, heir to the title of “Idle Prince” of the Great Yan Dynasty. He excels at the zither, chess, calligraphy, and painting, and is as gentle as jade, seemingly born to shun worldly strife. Yet no one knows that what flows through his fingertips is more than the scent of ink. It is “Pulse-Commanding Qi,” a power that can discern the flow of energy and blood through the meridians and judge life and death, carrying the legacy of an ancient medical tradition long thought extinct.
She is Qin Wan, the empire’s only marchioness. She rules her family’s fief with an iron hand and is known as the “Iron-Blooded Rose.” Yet behind her glory lie a hereditary family curse, the “Chillbone Curse,” whose attacks bring unbearable agony, and her precarious isolation at court.
An absurd imperial decree arranging a marriage to “bring good fortune” binds these two people, who seem to have nothing in common.
The capital mocks them: “A sickly man paired with a short-lived marchioness? What a perfect match!”
Chu Xiao: “A marriage to bring good fortune? Interesting. I happen to need a scapegoat.”
Qin Wan: “The heir to a prince’s title? No matter. He’ll just be another ornament.”
Then, one full-moon night, her curse flares up and she encounters the one man who can ease her pain. Then, amid the treacherous tides of court politics, he needs the power of her fief, while she needs his “Pulse-Commanding” art to suppress the curse and secure her position…
When the gentle heir reveals his edge as a master of the whole game, and the iron-blooded marchioness displays her breathtaking grace, the game of “fate” is turned on its head. He enters the Way through medicine and sees through every heart; she wields power and strategy to shape the world. As it turns out, this so-called marriage to bring good fortune is nothing more than a winning gambit launched by two master players, using “fate” as their hand.
It's okay if you have an opinion
Personally, I think it's okay and worth watching. All kinds of fog are confusing. Various conspiracies are intertwined. But there is one thing that feels a bit bad about the protagonist being seriously ill.
The structure is clear and the protagonist is deeply portrayed. He is "sick" but not "weak" and "literary" is "cruel". The mist is shrouded, just because I am in this mountain. Who is the emperor, come and fight 😏
Very exciting and clear thinking. .
