[A flirt who doesn’t know she’s flirting * aloof swordsman vs. proud, wicked * pure-hearted Demon Venerable]
Everyone knew that the righteous leader of the cultivation world and the supreme ruler of the demonic path were master and disciple.
They had both come from the Xuanming Sword Sect and were once two peerless sword talents, admired by all. But after an upheaval, they became sworn enemies, each eager to kill the other.
In the Savage Lands, during the war between immortals and demons, Jiang Zebei led the cultivation world in surrounding the demon army.
At its head stood Chen Zhixuan, the Demon Venerable: arrogant, uninhibited, and a fearless warrior.
When the sworn enemies met, their eyes blazed with hatred, and they fought for seven days and seven nights.
They had been evenly matched, until
“Pfft!”
A black blade pierced the white-robed swordsman’s chest. Blood gushed out, staining the snow.
Thinking Jiang Zebei had deliberately left himself open, Chen Zhixuan cursed furiously.
“Jiang Zebei, how dare you humiliate me?!”
“I…”
Jiang Zebei started to say something, then stopped.
As he watched the face that had tormented him countless times in his dreams draw closer, Chen Zhixuan’s hand trembled around the hilt.
Jiang Zebei died at the hands of the disciple he had raised for the first half of his life, and the sworn enemy he had fought for the second half.
He thought everything had finally settled. The demon realm withdrew its forces of its own accord, and peace returned to the cultivation world.
But when Jiang Zebei opened his eyes, he discovered he had come back to life…
Reborn, Jiang Zebei took the alias Chen Ze and resolved to be an obscure nobody.
Unexpectedly, an unsolved case drew him back into the tangled love and hatred of the past, bringing him face-to-face with Chen Zhixuan once more.
This time, he took the identity of Chen Ze, while Chen Zhixuan became Jiang Zhi.
Behind their masks, they tested each other as they searched for the truth, uncovering the dark side of the cultivation world…
Theme: Immortals belong among immortals, demons among demons, but I am myself. Neither gods nor buddhas can decide my fate!
A really nice book! The characters are well drawn. I just read this book, but the author stopped updating it. I am looking forward to the subsequent stories. But the front of this book is still very interesting.
In the first few chapters, why is Yue Yao sometimes called Yue Ling and sometimes Yue Yao?
