I Was Transported to the Wilds, Built the Underworld, and Became Lord of Reincarnation Across the Heavens

Forensic pathologist Lin Zhao had barely opened his eyes when he found himself bound to an altar. He escaped by telling a lie, only to watch helplessly as the spirit of an eight-year-old girl shattered into motes of light before him. Even after death, she had still been waiting for her family to come home.

In this primordial world, there is no reincarnation. When people die, their souls scatter and vanish.

“Why?”

A sigh rose from deep beneath the earth. He found a blank Book of Life and Death and a broken Judge’s Brush, relics left behind by an ancient shaman who had tried and failed to establish reincarnation hundreds of thousands of years ago. Engraved on the brush was a single sentence: “One link in the cycle of reincarnation is still missing.”

Starting from a cave, he built the underworld and, with a mortal body, established the laws of reincarnation for the Myriad Worlds.

The man who had asked “Why?” eventually found his answer:

All who enter here shall have a place for their souls to return.
