He Yu is an ordinary programmer leading a monotonous nine-to-five life. Plain-looking and introverted, he goes unnoticed both at work and in social circles. Then, after an unexpected trip to the barber, his appearance undergoes a stunning transformation. He goes from an ordinary face in the crowd to a strikingly handsome man, so much so that even he can hardly believe it.
On his first day back at work after his makeover, He Yu immediately feels the enormous difference his looks make. His colleagues' attitudes toward him have clearly changed, especially the female employees, who shower him with attention. The receptionist Lin Xiaoyu, colleague Zhang Ting, and department head Liu Fang are all friendlier to him than ever before. Even the company's goddess, Zhao Ya, strikes up a conversation with him.
