Shen Qingyun is the adopted daughter of the head of the Guyu Sect. After an accident, she discovers that she is the last survivor of the prestigious Shen family and that she is living inside the novel Moon Abyss as a minor character destined to die a tragic death. The truth is shrouded in mystery, and revenge will be a long road.
Xie Shutong, son of the Ghost King and young lord of the Ghost Capital, comes to the Huaxu Kingdom because his turbid meridians are weak.
The two distrust each other. In a secret formation, when forced to choose between life and death, Shen Qingyun runs her sword through Xie Shutong. She thinks he must be dead, only to find him unharmed and now her junior fellow disciple!
Heroine: Shen Qingyun, a vindictive, ruthless black lotus. She lies low and plays the pig to eat the tiger early on, then lays waste to her enemies later.
Hero: Xie Shutong, who passes himself off in the mortal realm as the sickly scholar and son of Grand Academician Xie. In truth, he is the Ghost King’s son, a scheming man who takes nothing seriously.
