What Is the Relationship Between Lu Pan and Cui Pan Guan in Pu Songling's Stories?

A new ghost arrived in the underworld. He was a handsome, slender young man, but someone had carved a huge cross into his face with a knife. The flesh gaped open, turning half his once-pale face into a fearsome sight! Worst of all, he'd lost his memory. The record of his good and evil deeds showed almost nothing but good, with no mention of anyone he'd wronged.

Unable to pass judgment, I had no choice but to investigate the case myself. But I never expected that, the more I dug, the bigger the mess became!

The people who hated him had harmed him, and even the person he admired was implicated in what happened to him. Yet he still chose to forgive them! I was blinded by the glow of his saintly compassion, but I couldn't just leave him alone!
