Your opening is a bit too classic. Although this is a very common situation in the Middle Ages, it is indeed very classic. Why help the poor? It's understandable if you have poor talent, and you can understand if you go to such and such a place. But what you mentioned in your introduction, in a sense, made me stay. Come on!
