Reconstruction of "The King of Fighters N. E. S. T. S. Sound Nest Chapter".
The novel was originally conceived during my high school years, around 2002. Born out of the fighting games "The King of Fighters 99", "The King of Fighters 2000" and "The King of Fighters 2001" - the "N. E. S. T. S. Sound Nest Chapter" trilogy. Since I was very disappointed with both the official game story and the Hong Kong comic story, I began to reconstruct the story of The King of Fighters Sound Nest.
The novel retains the main settings of "The King of Fighters N. E. S. T. S. Sound Nest", but overturns almost all of the original plot. It combines the "Orochi Chapter" from 94-97 of "The King of Fighters" and the "Voice Nest Chapter" from 99-01. Includes almost all characters from "The King of Fighters 2001" and all previous versions.
The novel still uses the "King of Fighters Tournament" as the carrier, innovating the "five-person team" competition mode, organically combining the fateful showdown between the game protagonists Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami, and the growth and awakening of the version protagonist K'. Finally, it leads to the decisive battle between the two major versions of Orochi and Igniz.
The entire novel was started in 2020 and completed in the first half of 2025. The creation time spanned four and a half years, and was all created in my spare time. The whole book has an introduction + 52 main chapters + an epilogue, with a total word count of about 260,000 words.
Fans of the "King of Fighters" game are welcome to read it. Even if you are not familiar with the "King of Fighters" game, you can read it as a general fantasy novel.
