Honkai: Star Rail: Director! The Company Wants to Know If You’re Lovesick

[Ultimate absurdity + no female lead + male lead works behind the scenes + game development + no System + Honkai: Star Rail game-fiction sequel + mature readers only]

The most absurd department in the universe is at it again!

The Interastral Peace Corporation's Eighth Department, the Game Development Department, is planning to create games based on Earth's history.

“Then... let's start with the first historical scenario: the Capital Defense Battle and the Training Corps!”

Bronya: “Li Shimin's achievements... he established the Xuanwu Gate succession system??”

March 7th: “The Chancellor has gone north on an expedition? Then who's going to steam the buns at home!”

Stellaron Gremlin: “Let me see what the deal is with the Wala students studying abroad?”

Fu Xuan: “Compared to getting Jing Yuan to step down, making you, Wu Zetian, abdicate would be a piece of cake...”

[Reader advisory: This work has a somewhat strong tendency toward OOC characterization. If you feel the characters are being ruined, insult the author directly. Please don't attack March 7th, though. She's my wife.]
