In his previous life, gaming fanatic Lin Xuan dives into the sensational hit game Dawn Game. Choosing the Path of Dawn, he has a difficult start, sneaks off to remote corners to build up his strength, studies guides, and grows through hard-fought battles. His outstanding performance earns him a noble title. He recruits the angel Alita, establishes the Dawnblade Guild, and builds it into a powerful force. However, after the Church of Light assassinates the king of the Xila Empire, a campaign is launched against it. Lin Xuan answers the call, only to be betrayed by his subordinates. Alita also breaks with him because of her identity as an angel. At last, he understands that the kingdom's troops are loyal only to the kingdom, and that he is nothing but a pawn. On the gallows, Lin Xuan looks back on his time in the game and realizes that it is a miniature version of life, full of betrayal and deceit. Still, he has no regrets. He closes his eyes and awaits judgment, determined to begin again in the real world with the resilience he learned in the game. This time, this time he will absolutely take revenge on the Church of Light.
