Great Ming: Playing Famous Generals from Every Dynasty and Terrifying Old Zhu

Reborn into the chaotic final years of the Yuan Dynasty, in Haozhou, the Red Turban Army’s headquarters, in 1351. Zhu Yuanzhang has yet to join Guo Zixing, and is still called Zhu Chongba.

The world is in turmoil, and people are treated worse than dogs. Yuan troops massacre every village they come across, while White Lotus sect members perform rituals at the sight of anyone. Zhu Yuanzhang is still a penniless monk, and Chen Youliang’s navy has only just emerged.

I, Chu Ping, obtained the Famous General Cosplay System.

I can cosplay famous generals from all kinds of battles and lead troops in rearguard actions. If I’m facing a land battle, I’ll pick Zhang Fei; for a naval battle, Zheng Chenggong; to defend a city, I’ll activate Zhang Xun; and for a thousand-mile raid, I’ll go straight for Huo Qubing!

Cosplay has rules: if you play Guan Yu, you have to be loyal; if you imitate Bai Qi, you have to be ruthless.

In 1352, Zhu Chongba arrived in Haozhou. Chu Ping put an arm around his shoulder. “Chongba, stick with me and I’ll help you become emperor.”

And so, a man of endlessly varied character and peerless military genius descended upon the world.

After unifying the Central Plains and achieving fame and success, Old Zhu wanted to use me to purge his old followers.

I put an arm around Old Zhu again. “Chongba, you know better than anyone what I want in this life. Give me a ship. I’m going to North America to grow corn!”
