Lobotomy Corporation: A Cycle of Records

Volume 1 tells the story of “Cycle Record.” The word count was hard to control: some chapters are long, while others are short.

Volume 2 covers the plot about the Abnormalities. I didn’t write it well, so I’ll rewrite it later.

Volume 1: Story Introduction

Lobotomy Corporation, a giant enterprise controlling humanity’s last refuge, contains cognitive viruses known as “Abnormalities” 300 meters underground. They appear as angels, monsters, or beloved ones, devouring the sanity of anyone who touches them. During a containment experiment, new employee Aileen encounters the “Weeping Angel,” a statue with her mother’s face. The moment her cognitive filter collapses, she glimpses the truth: the so-called energy production is really harvesting human suffering to feed the “Apocalypse Bird.” Employees who die are turned into clones in glass coffins, reduced to spare parts for restarting civilization.

After awakening the power of ERROR codes, Aileen becomes the embodiment of a system vulnerability. She allies with Karl, an armed hunter with a severed arm, to fight for control of the Qliphoth System in a hellscape where fleshly incubators devour memories and Punishing Birds peck at souls. Yet every death and reset erodes a fragment of her humanity. When Angela from Library of Ruina sends a warning, Aileen discovers that Lobotomy Corporation is merely the needle the “Head” uses to stitch time and space together, and that she herself is the living key to awakening the lingering score.

In this war of deceptive memories, survival means becoming an even greater Abnormality.
