Beautiful Days and Scenery, Together Year After Year

[The cool and aloof crown prince of Dongsheng × the sweet, delicate princess of Nanqi]

[The mighty concubine-born son of the Northern Barbarians × the willful, spoiled second legitimate daughter of Nanqi]

[The heterochromatic-eyed prince of Xijiang × the gentle, dignified eldest princess of Nanqi]

When her kingdom fell, the beloved little princess Nanyi became a prisoner, kneeling at the feet of the enemy crown prince she had once humiliated. He murmured, “Little princess, long time no see.”

In exchange for a treaty, she was sent to Dongsheng as a hostage. Throughout history, princesses sent as hostages have met cruel fates: either they live in disgrace or die without ever returning to their homeland.

But Nanyi was different. The only hardship she endured in her life was the rough journey from Nanqi to Dongsheng.

In Dongsheng, she did many things she could never have done in Nanqi.

Ji Jing took her horseback riding, letting her feel the fierce joy of being alive.

He accompanied her to many places she had only ever seen in storybooks.

He taught her archery, giving her the means to protect herself.

A conspiracy involving three kingdoms was foiled through the efforts of all six of them.

The people of Nanqi say that on the day of the upheaval, the once-delicate, much-adored little princess who had been forced into hostage service returned on horseback at the head of ten thousand cavalry. She shot the enemy commander with her bow and saved an entire city. She was a heroine.

“Ayi, may we always be by each other’s side.”

“Ajing, it feels so good to hold the bow myself.”
