[Alternate history + power fantasy + apocalypse]
Wake up! This is the Ming Dynasty, but not the one you know! This is a living hell overrun by the undead!
In the Tianqi era, a plague of corpses descends! Red-eyed undead tear the living apart, while the crumbling dynasty teeters on the brink of collapse!
My name is Li Yan. I’m a low-ranking constable who only got the job after my father died, and I’ve just arrived to find the whole city crawling with zombies!
No time to panic, no time to grieve! Because I have a cheat: the [Soul-Devouring Record]!
Touch a corpse and grow stronger!
Whether you’re a loyal minister or a corrupt eunuch, a martial arts grandmaster or an occult practitioner, a pathetic clown or a terrifying Corpse King…
If you’re dead, your power and memories might become mine!
In this world, human nature is more terrifying than the undead! The Donglin faction? The eunuch faction? Feudal princes? Evil cults? Anyone who stands in my way can die!
They fight for power and profit. I only want to survive and grow stronger!
They pretend all is well. I trust only the steel blade in my hand!
They manipulate hearts and minds. I’ll prove my way through slaughter!
With the [Soul-Devouring Record] in hand, I’ll use mountains of corpses and seas of blood as my furnace, refining countless abilities into one!
Warriors? Scholars? Daoists? Sorcerers? I’ll take them all!
Risk of turning into a corpse? Ha! As long as I kill fast enough, the corpse poison can’t catch me!
One day, I’ll make this undead dynasty tremble! I’ll make this rotten world obey my command! Those who stand in my way will be reduced to bones!
The first time I saw this subject matter, it reminded me of the Korean drama "Lee Corps Dynasty". I love watching it soon!!!
The background of this book takes place during the Apocalypse, when such a big plague (zombie) breaks out, how come there is no Jin Yiwei!
