The Passing of the Stars

In the distant year of 2099, in a cold city awash with metal and neon, I meet Xingxing, a twelve-year-old girl with the same rare illness caused by interstellar radiation, on a rooftop. We share the same affliction. Though Xingxing faces death head-on, she still cherishes beautiful dreams. She longs to see the real starry sky, and we promise to go together. But Xingxing eventually passes away. Carrying out her last wish, I devote myself to interstellar environmental causes. With the help of like-minded people, I bring the stars back to the city’s night sky, and through memory and searching, come to understand the meaning of life.
