Harry Potter: The Dark Lord and His Short-Lived White Moonlight

[Harry Potter fanfiction, original female lead, Tom Riddle, bad ending]

This is an old work. After several rounds of edits, I've decided to post it after all.

Bad ending. This isn't a deranged story, this isn't a deranged story, this isn't a deranged story. (Don't read if that's a problem for you.)

Some key plot points are adapted from the original books and films. My writing isn't great, so please go easy on me.

Every character is my child. If you want to cast the Killing Curse, cast it on me instead. (The author is a shy, introverted little girl, so please be gentle. If you curse me too harshly, I'll sob under the covers until dawn.)

Apologies for the deliberate OOC.

Ambiguous light spilled around them as she held his hand.

Their steps were light. In that moment, they had only each other.

"If one day we never meet again, will you forget me?" She regretted asking. It was such a childish question.

"I'll seal away all our memories. When someone finds them, I'll tell the entire wizarding world our story."

For no reason she could name, tears fell from her eyes.

Promises are always beautiful, but she knew she would never hear his.

Their story would be buried beneath the dust, laid to rest in a grave of love and hate.
