Su Yang was raised by the very people who murdered his parents. To pay off his gambling debts, he becomes the Fu family's young master's "living blood bank." He has the rare AB-negative blood type, the only hope of keeping Fu Wenjing alive as his kidneys fail. Ten years ago, beside a crocodile pool in the Golden Triangle, Fu Wenjing saved Su Yang, the orphaned child of a narcotics officer, despite suffering a ruptured intestine. Ten years later, he survives on Su Yang's blood, but just as feelings begin to bloom, he falls into a cryogenic pod. Then fate takes a turn: Su Yang turns out to be the son of the richest Li family in Jing City, and changes his name to Li Yang. Fu Wenjing gets an organ transplant and is reborn, and the two marry in Paris.
Si Tingchuan is the heir to Tang Hai's richest family, a genius and campus king in A University's clinical medicine department. For five years, he meticulously lays his plans: pretending to be poor and living in a tenement, faking hypoglycemia to win Su Yang's sympathy. But at the wedding, Fu family's bodyguards throw him out of the church. Fu Wenjing dies in an explosion in the Golden Triangle while protecting Li Yang. Si Tingchuan seizes his chance and finally drops the hunter's disguise: "You ran three times, and I chased you three times. Not even a coffin lid can hold me back this time!"
-- Fu Wenjing: "My life is sustained by the blood you gave me, and by the blood I shed for you."
-- Si Tingchuan: "I pretended to be poor for five years just for this day! Li Yang, I burned enough funeral paper for your ex's grave to send him through reincarnation ten times!"
