I was just an ordinary person among millions. One day, while I was out having fun with my best friend, we were hunted down. After someone ambushed me, I woke up in a strange place. I wanted to find my friend and go home, but when everything was finally over, we ended up in yet another unfamiliar world.
It was modern, but far less advanced than the era we came from. I lived in that world for a very, very long time, so long that I nearly forgot what my mother and brother looked like.
When dawn broke, when I found her, when we had no choice but to face the decision before us, when we finally let go, the door home slowly opened. We held each other’s hands, took one last look at those we had known, and resolutely abandoned everything in that world to return to our own.
