Also known as: Another Side of the Story. It includes a couple storyline between two male leads.
She was lost as a child and grew up in the countryside with her master’s wife and her family. Just before she came of age, a dignified and richly dressed woman found her. That was when she learned she was the second young lady of the Yongxing Marquis household.
She had been eagerly hoping for the warmth of family, but instead was met with disdain and scheming. She fled without looking back, only to stumble into the most luxurious princely estate in the dynasty, where a muddleheaded steward mistook her for a newly hired shadow guard.
To keep her master’s family from worrying and avoid the people from the marquis household, she decided to play along and stay at the estate. From then on, she lived in constant fear.
She feared being discovered as a woman, feared that the sickly prince might suddenly drop dead, and feared that she might be dragged down and killed at any moment.
The estate was a deep pit, and she was trapped with no way out. Fortunately, she found a little warmth in her shadow guard master.
He was a noble-born young man sent to the estate as a shadow guard after being passed off as a legitimate son despite his low birth. Outwardly, he was considerate in every way and warm as spring, but he carried a towering hatred in his heart. He lived only for revenge.
Later, he lived not only for revenge, but also to protect the one he loved.
For her, he was willing to trade his life for hers.
Unfortunately, a shadow guard who falls in love is doomed to die!
He was the most respected prince in Dashun. He seemed as gentle as jade, but was devious to the core, the kind of man who would scheme against even a passing dog.
In his eyes, anyone but his own mother could die.
By chance, he discovered something amusing: the new shadow guard was a fake, a woman disguised as a man who was secretly treating his illness.
He decided to squeeze every bit of value out of her, then kill her. He never expected this woman to keep fooling him again and again.
I feel that Ying Shisan is suitable to be the male protagonist. The writing is more realistic, there is no cheating or anything like that, I like it better. It feels like there are a lot of details described, especially when the heroine and Shadow Thirteen are given the task to kill Shadow Eighteen. Every plot is unexpected. In fact, everyone has been clearly arranged, and all the escape routes imaginable have been blocked. I feel that although Ying Shiba was willing to sacrifice himself in the end to save his wife and children, he probably just wanted to leave a thought before his death without any regrets. But at the same time, he was also selfish, and did not consider the future retreat of his wife and children. Because for a blind girl, she was still pregnant and had no one to take care of her. She didn't know what to do in the future. Finding someone to deliver the baby was a problem. Even if she had money, she could easily be cheated by others. After all, it was too easy to be robbed of money in that era. Even if the baby was born, she would not be able to take care of the baby. She could not see anything and cooking would be a problem. I really like Ying Shisan's forbearing love for the heroine. He likes it but can't say it, and he also restrains himself in his actions. He is afraid that if someone finds out, the heroine's life will be in danger. Maybe true love doesn't mean being together, but not wanting her to be in danger. As for King Jin, I feel like he only has a high status and no martial arts skills. Even if he likes the heroine, there are so many assassins coming to kill him every day. How can he protect the heroine in the future? Just rely on those shadow guards? But those shadow guards are sometimes injured, and it won't take a day or two to train another group. I hope he will have a great trick later. I've been writing for so long, and even that senior brother Nanfeng hasn't shown up yet, so there's no clue at all. Then I always thought that King Qin might be a black sesame glutinous rice dumpling. I hope the author will introduce another version of ancient time traveling through the present. It is best to use soul time traveling without systems, golden fingers, or medical skills. It is best to be realistic, which is more in line with that dynasty.
As an ancient novel, it actually has no time travel, no rebirth, no house fights, and it is still a good watch. It is very good to watch. I feel that the secret guards always have a tragic tone and are treated as a sword by the superiors, but after all, they are all flesh and blood people, especially the heroine. The ending of the prince is so pitiful, and the love drama between the male and female protagonists also runs through the whole book. In the end, when it finally works out, there is very little description space, and the whole book is full of abuse.
The characters in this novel finally made me feel that there are normal people in this novel world. The heroine is "stubborn" but brave and resourceful. She still chooses to follow her heart in the face of temptation. Shadow 13 silently protects her without asking for anything in return. The prince is possessive but not paranoid and chooses to let go. Apart from love, he has more important things to do. The CP characters in novels are no longer mainly about high status. I have read too many novels with the prince as the male protagonist. The relationship between the heroine and the actor 13 running in both directions and fighting together for a long time was very natural, and there was no deviation due to the prince's intrusion. The overall pace of the novel can be smooth without dragging out the plot. The ending at the end of the novel is relatively fast, but it is acceptable. Everyone changes and gains something at the end. This is a novel that makes people feel very warm after reading it. It is worth reading.
The prince is really not a good person. I think the master is good. We should be in love with each other. The prince is really not good. Thirteen is really good. They are in love with each other. It is good to be with him in the later period.
It's so beautiful, exciting, not draggy at all, and I like the heroine's character. Despite the low rating of this book, the setting and characters are very well done. Everyone is not mentally retarded. Even the supporting characters have flesh and blood. The story revolves around the heroine and the prince. You must read it to the end. You won't know what the excitement is until you finish it. He actually wants the cp lines of two male protagonists 😂
Very good looking, I like the heroine. It's a pity it's not the final chapter! Come on, author, please give me more every day!
It's very interesting. The heroine's character is vivid and has her own personality and thoughts. Although she experienced many estrangements before getting together with the hero, in the end the second hero chose the beauty of adulthood, and the ending is relatively satisfactory. It's a pity that the regent's life was short. The deputy CP (male) is also easier to beat. All in all, it looks good ❤️ 😘
It's very beautiful, and the characters are well drawn.
It is a very realistic novel that describes the cruel life of Shadow Guards. It is different from other novels. Being beaten is common, and you will be bewitched, and you will also be played as a loyal person. It is very cruel and can kill people. Personally, I feel that it is very similar to a drama, a bit rigorous, and there are relatively few flaws.
I finished the game. It was exciting and the story was very compact. At the end, I realized that the prince had cleared all the obstacles for the heroine. In short, I think the prince, Shadow Thirteen, and the senior brother are all very good.
