345 years ago, teleportation pillars appeared all over the world. The Martian God imprisoned all of humanity in order to select a powerful, talented servant. It unleashed demonic races from another world upon Earth, destroying most of the world. After three hundred years of war, the situation gradually stabilized.
At sixteen, Luo Qi awakened his talent skill: the Undead Notebook. The notebook itself warned him that his world was false and that some god had imprisoned it. He needed to level up as quickly as possible to save Earth.
Each page of the Undead Notebook was a small pocket world that could contain the souls of the dead and summon undead soldiers. To live a better life, Luo Qi grew stronger and stronger. Along the way, he found things he wanted to protect.
Forced time and again to become stronger, Luo Qi ultimately became the supreme undead god, The Great Ruler beyond the universe.
