After Restoring an Artifact, I Became the Dragon Clan’s Forbidden Lover

Taboos of Artifact Restoration × A Thousand-Year-Old Sin

In the early years of the Republic of China, antique restorer Su Huaijin is forced to restore twelve "dragon bones of curse magic" for warlord Shen Yanzhi. When he touches a broken jade pendant carved with a chi-dragon pattern from the Warring States period, he realizes that this cold-blooded commander is the thousand-year-old evil dragon sealed inside the jade. With each dragon bone he restores, another inverted scale appears on Shen Yanzhi's body, while Su Huaijin's soul crumbles a little more. It turns out he is the fragment of humanity Shen Yanzhi shed a hundred years ago.

From the sacrificial artisans entombed in a Han-dynasty Boshan incense burner used for blood rites, to the vengeful spirits of the An Lushan Rebellion suppressed inside a Tang-dynasty gilt horse-shaped wine vessel; from the blood-soaked waves of Yashan reflected in a Southern Song dynasty Jian bowl, to Fang Xiaoru's blood-inked final words at the foot of a Ming-dynasty Xuande incense burner... By the time Su Huaijin pieces together the last Shang-dynasty oracle bone, a hundred thousand resentful spirits within the false dragon veins have already torn through the Yellow River dikes. Shen Yanzhi gouges out every inverted scale and transforms into a celestial river of dragon veins, while Su Huaijin scatters his soul to rekindle the flame of Chinese civilization.
