There are four kingdoms in the world: Canglan, Fengqi, Tianchu, and Jiuli. The kingdom of Jiuli was repeatedly invaded by Tianchu, and its strength dwindled year after year. In the end, Zheng Xuan, Jiuli's great general and shield of the kingdom, was murdered by Tianchu's spies. With no general left who could resist Tianchu's army, Jiuli suffered one defeat after another and was eventually destroyed. Zheng Xuan's son, Zheng Huaijin, escaped to Fengqi with Sun Yichen, the only surviving prince of Jiuli, and the remnants of their army.
