Racing Toward New Life in a Doomsday World

This is an apocalyptic novel set in a distant star system, where an insectoid race has a planet of its own and has succeeded in establishing a civilization as dominant as humanity’s. But they face the same problems of scarce resources and explosive population growth. They come to Blue Star, hoping to seize everything. Humanity defeats them with ease, but no one realizes that the insectoids’ greatest weapon is their own kind. Before their defeat, the insectoids activate technology that can assimilate other species. Every insect on Earth begins evolving at an incredible rate, while humanity suffers a mass infection from parasitic spores released by the insectoids. As the insectoids grow and evolve day by day, humans discover that they, too, can evolve by killing insects and consuming the cores inside them. A new race for survival begins.
