At twenty-eight, down-and-out writer Lin Wan dies clutching her lover’s corpse amid a zombie horde, then is reborn on the day she first met Jiang Ye, an eighteen-year-old tattoo artist. With only twenty-four hours left, the two scarred women must clear up the misunderstandings from their previous life and prepare to fight the coming apocalypse virus. But when they set out to escape with weapons they made themselves, they discover that the butterfly tattoo near Jiang Ye’s collarbone conceals the key to an antibody. From a Beijing basement to the Mogao Caves of Dunhuang, the women fall in love beneath blood-red skies as they gradually uncover the truth: this world-ending disaster had been quietly taking shape during countless nights when they held each other as they slept.
The writing should be very good, but unfortunately I can't understand it, but I still support the author greatly and give it a five-star rating.
