A Historical Mystery: During the Tiansheng era of the Northern Song, Feng Tao, foremost of the Five Heroes, is caught up in a struggle for the Jade Tiger Tally. He mysteriously vanishes before a rift in time and space, leaving behind the prophecy: “When the blood moon rises, the tally shall return.”
A Modern Case: A quantum laboratory explosion leaves behind an arrow of the Northern Song style. The victim bears a vermilion tiger mark on their forehead, matching the “Tiger Tally Sacrifice” ritual described in ancient texts.
Hidden Threads: The Black Star Society obtains a fragmentary star map through archaeological excavations and seeks to use a blood sacrifice to reactivate the Jade Tiger Tally. Li Gongfu, an agent of the Temporal Administration, joins the investigation by “coming back to life.”
A Technological Enigma: Mei Aoxue discovers that her transmigration was no accident. The nan chip implanted in her brain contains fragments of Feng Tao's DNA memories, and she gradually awakens the ability to use ancient mechanical arts.
