Yang Che transmigrates into an ancient farming family and secretly learns while tending cattle, revealing astonishing talent. From stunning the village school by reciting the Thousand Character Classic to making a spectacular debut in the preliminary imperial examination, he races along the path of the imperial exams with a modern mindset. He joins the Ministry of Works and establishes an I Love Inventions Award, vigorously promoting science. He joins the Ministry of Revenue and opens state-owned factories, sending government finances soaring. The great clans both love and resent him: their fortunes grow, but they find themselves with less and less control. When the Crown Prince leads a military campaign, Yang Che presents him with hand grenades, blasting the barbarians into submission. See how a modern man stirs up a storm in ancient times.
