The story takes place during the Anti-Japanese War. The Japanese army occupied the big city and implemented brutal rule in the city. The forces of all parties are complex. The underground organizations of the Communist Party, the Kuomintang military command, the spies of the Wang Puppet Government, and the Japanese Special High School compete with each other, and they are engaged in a fierce struggle for intelligence, resources, and strategic advantages.
