(Transmigration + alternate history + System + the uncanny descends)
[Ancient cultivation, the chaos of the Republican era, modern technology: time and space are in disarray, and the uncanny descends. The first story, “A Bond Between Master and Disciple,” is relatively tame, not too uncanny. Just wait for the next one.]
She threatens the System, yells at her boss, and takes on her first time-travel mission: kill the male lead.
But she ignores the System's warning, goes too far, and cuts out the male lead's heart to eat it.
Mission two: clear up the misunderstanding between the reborn male lead and his master so they can grow old together.
But she insists on spoiling the story for the male lead, decides he has potential, and tries to recruit him into the company.
The System tries to talk her down while cowering in fear.
Why is she so brazen? Because she's an ancient great demon who feeds on human hearts. She's reformed now, but her way of doing things still earns her colleagues' endless complaints.
She may seem utterly lawless, but in truth, she's saving the world.
