Siheyuan: A Fearless Guard Who Subdues the Whole Courtyard!

In the bitter winter of 1965, demobilized soldier Zhang Xiangyang joined the Red Star Steel Mill with the “Mighty Defender System.”

On his very first day, he caught Bang Geng, the Siheyuan's notorious young thief. Slapping him around for a confession led to the discovery of the gang behind a series of factory thefts. The System gave him the interrogation ability “Three Strikes Against Evil.” Every time he slapped one of the courtyard's beasts, he could earn rewards such as military blueprints and skills suited to the era. But he also had to face moral questions. When the hardened mud on Bang Geng's trouser cuffs exposed the theft ring, and Yi Zhonghai brought in the factory director to put pressure on him, Zhang Xiangyang relied on his own strength to turn the tables. Amid the roar of the steel mill, he exposed two layers of corruption. The Siheyuan was anything but peaceful: Xu Damao reported him for profiteering, so Zhang Xiangyang turned around and accused him of framing a hero; Jia Zhangshi tried to stage an accident for compensation, so he made her do volunteer work for the community; Yan Bugui was a master schemer, so Zhang Xiangyang made him pay up, right down to his bicycle.

Life in the fiery red era is wonderful!
