[No System + transmigrate + underdog comeback + fantasy]
In a world of cultivators, the myriad arts are the foundation of survival and the means by which every cultivator explores their relationship with themselves and the world. From the very first step on the path of cultivation, we seek out all kinds of methods, hoping to glimpse higher realms. Yet after crossing countless methods, someone is bound to ask: Is there an end beyond the myriad arts? And how should that end be defined?
This book does not attempt to answer that ultimate question. Instead, it seeks to explore another side of the essence of cultivation through the eyes of cultivators. Behind the flourishing of the myriad arts lies the wisdom cultivators have built up through constant trial, error, and experimentation. We honor the efforts of those who came before us, while carrying their thoughts forward. Faced with countless different methods, what we need is not merely to pursue “the strongest,” but also to look back to the starting point of cultivation and find the direction that truly belongs to us.
In this process, we come to realize that the essence of cultivation has never changed: it is the pursuit of unity between the inner and outer worlds, the desire to return to oneself. No matter how the methods evolve, a cultivator's ultimate goal remains to become one with the world, break free from the confines of the finite, and comprehend infinite possibilities.
Thus, this book bears the name “The End,” not to mark a finish line, but to inspire readers to reflect: the path of cultivation does not lead to a static conclusion. It is a continuous process of self-transformation. The myriad arts may be many, but each is a path. What we wish to explore is how, amid the profusion of cultivation methods, to find the path that belongs to us and walk toward our own end.
