Late on the Road to Cangwu

To future readers:

Eastern fantasy, an epic ensemble cast, boundless imagination, and intelligent characters.

No System, no invincible protagonist, not a wish-fulfillment story.

I want to break from convention, so I’ll rise above the North Wind!

From an intriguing martial world to the vast heavens,

this is a story of rambunctious young men,

and of the dazzling, grand affairs of the mortal world!

Snow and wind before the steps, a bright moon behind; warm wine in a clay pot, a cup of green-ant wine.

I think of you all from afar. Wherever our paths briefly cross, whether you come or go, I shall greet you with respect beneath the breeze and wish you peace and well-being.

“The greatest joy in this world is a young swordsman raising his blade to question the heavens.”

“This journey through the martial world should be interesting.”

A dashing swordsman in blue robes leaves the mortal world, then returns to it;

a Buddhist disciple glares in fury, shatters his golden body, and asks the mountaintop a question with one punch;

a cunning scholar makes a move on the chessboard, chatting and laughing as he plots to strike down Heaven;

a “Hold on” Taoist priest brimming with “martial virtue”;

a “scatterbrained” fox trapped in an illusion;

the crescent moon beneath the eaves of the Jixia Academy from ten years ago;

a moment in time frozen among the peach trees when one looks back;

In short,

“Everyone, hold on a moment and see whether this martial world is worth it.”
