The Divine Mandate Inspector: I Slay Immortals and Demons Among Men

(The novel is written in episodic arcs and features xianxia, no System, multiple female leads, and a pragmatic protagonist.)

Jiang Shang transmigrates, only to find himself in a living corpse possessed by the remnant soul of Jiang Ziya.

Armed with the Demon-Slaying Whip, he is nevertheless forced to start at the very bottom as an executioner in the Demon Suppression Bureau. Countless souls fall beneath his demon-slaying blade, but no one knows that he slays not only monsters, but immortals as well.
