Doomed to Die at Eight, I Become a Daoist Master Through Wild Cultivation

The living burn paper money, while the dead fight to be first to offer incense.

When I was eight, on the night of the Cold Clothes Festival, I wandered into an old graveyard and fell into the underworld. Liu Xiazi, a Taoist hermit, rescued me with his Nine Tribulations Thunderfire Ruler. Because my Gui Water fate lets me pass between yin and yang, Liu Xiazi took me on as an apprentice in name. I gradually grew into a young Taoist versed in feng shui, folk customs, the Six Lines, and the Eight Characters. Later, I made friends with spirit mediums, shamans, and rice diviners. Together, we uncovered the dark secrets behind a university campus, sealed a powerful evil spirit in an ancient tomb beneath an abandoned village, foiled a malevolent feng shui master's geomantic trap in a city in Southeast Asia, and thwarted the shocking plot of the evil Taoist organization known as the Wusheng Dao.

Liu Xiazi once said that the most vicious evil does not lurk in the underworld. It lies in the bottomless well in the hearts of the living.
