Journey to the West: Wielding the Banner of Ten Thousand Souls, Starting with the Burning of Wuzhuang Temple

[Journey to the West] [Golden Cudgel]

Li Wenjie, a laborer at Wuzhuang Temple, gets bullied every day.

Then one day!

“Bang!”

“What the heck just hit me?”

Li Wenjie rubbed his head and felt around, pulling a tiny golden banner, no bigger than a finger, from his hair.

With the Ten Thousand Souls Banner in hand, he killed his immediate superior.

He fought Sun Wukong to a draw.

When Zhen Yuanzi of Wuzhuang Temple declared him an enemy, he and his good brother Sun Wukong wreaked havoc at the temple. With the Ten Thousand Souls Banner in hand and countless souls at his side, he set Wuzhuang Temple ablaze.

Years later, Li Wenjie charged into a horde of one hundred thousand demons, Ten Thousand Souls Banner in hand and ten thousand earth ghosts and generals at his side, as if possessed by Pangu, the God of War.
