Honghuang: I’m Hong Yun, the Leader of Mahayana Buddhism

Hongyun is reborn in the Primordial World. He changes the small trends, overturns the great ones, and rides his heaven-defying Buddhist and Daoist insight to one exhilarating victory after another. There are just a few little surprises along the way. Zhen Yuanzi overhears his thoughts: repair the earth’s ley lines, seize the Western lands’ fortune, and claim a cushion among the seats of the Sages. Tongtian overhears his thoughts: red flowers, lotus roots, and green lotus leaves all belong to one family. The Twenty-Four-Grade Creation Green Lotus will suppress the Jie Sect’s fate. Become Hongjun’s disciple? Not happening! Jieyin and Zhunti of the Western Teachings bring their disciples to debate Buddhism with the Mahayana Buddhists. Hongyun looks at his own Buddhas of the Three Ages and Nine Great Bodhisattvas. The Ancient Buddha, with the power of the Thirty-Six Heavens, the Great Sun Tathagata Zhao Gongming: “Randeng, come on! Let’s see how you handle the might of my Thirty-Six Heavens!” The Modern Buddha, who has cultivated the Sixteen-Foot Golden Body and sits upon a golden lotus, Duobao Tathagata Buddha: “The Buddhist teachings of your Western Teachings save only yourselves, not all living beings. That’s just the Lesser Vehicle. You might as well rename the Western Teachings the Lesser Vehicle Buddhists!” The Future Buddha, Peacock Great Bright King Tathagata Kong Xuan, clad in seven-colored divine light: “Zhunti, I hear your Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree can brush away anything. My seven-colored divine light challenges it to a fight!” And there are the Nine Great Bodhisattvas: Situ, Guanyin, Dizang, Yunxiao, Qiongxiao, Bixiao, Wuyun, Lingji, and Shiji. The calamity of the Investiture of the Gods. Hongyun joins forces with Tongtian. Outnumbered two to four, they beat the four Sages into fleeing with their heads in their hands. The calamity of Journey to the West. Guanyin Bodhisattva looks at the team she has assembled to deliver the scriptures and nods with satisfaction. The reincarnation of the Blood-Winged Black Mosquito, one of the Five Great Fiends alongside the Six-Winged Golden Cicada: Fahai! Sun Wukong, Yang Jian, Nezha, Ao Bing.
