[Male lead: gentle and reserved on the surface, actually scheming, playing the fool to catch his opponent off guard VS female lead: astonishingly oblivious, wildly imaginative, and suddenly bold]
Lin Lan is an olive tree that spent years bathed in knowledge on a school campus before gaining sentience. After absorbing spiritual energy, she took human form. When Ji Shuyu told her, “I like you,” Lin Lan's heart took root. Years later, they meet again on campus. Lin Lan subtly probes to see if the female lead still remembers her, carefully laying plans to win her over.

Ji Shuyu displayed an astonishing lack of awareness from childhood. Whether at school or in everyday life, she was always a step behind everyone else. After drawing a dare card in a game of Truth or Dare, she confessed her love to an olive tree, and from then on fell in love with the taste of olives. Years later, she returned to her alma mater to work and met Lin Lan. Almost as if under a spell, she said, “Teacher Lin, I have a promise with an olive tree.”
