Think the Purple Ruins are a natural disaster? Wrong. They've been a “farm” for a hundred years.
They didn't dig up energy in Wucheng's mine, but an entrance to hell. The transport truck hijacked on a rainy night in Jiangnan was empty. The so-called “key” was just bait. Ninth Sister was trapped in the orphanage, and her final signal contained only three words: “The shipment's out.”
Three thousand “gene containers,” each marked with a price, are being carried by a ghost train to the floating imperial capital that has hung in the sky for ten thousand years: Tianji City.
To look up is a crime. Anyone who spies will die.
The Seven Great Houses brew immortality elixirs from children's bones and blood high above the clouds, while the Xuanqiong Legion turns living people into experimental data on the ground. Lu Zhaoxian and the brothers who fought their way out of Wucheng hijack the train, assume false identities, and sneak into the Heavenly Palace, all to tear away the veil of lies.
Then, deep within Tianji City, a secret letter from “overseas” comes to light. And from beyond the mists of the Purple Ruins comes a whisper that crosses dimensions.
The Houses are only middlemen. Earth is nothing but a “cultivation vat” for higher-dimensional beings. The real BOSS was never human. It is the Purple Ruins God, gazing down upon all life.
With the Echoed in hot pursuit and the cannons of the Jueyun Wall bristling ahead, Lu Zhaoxian has no way back. He raises his middle finger to the purple sky. “If we're being raised as livestock, let's see who eats whom: you, or us... the godslayers.”
The Purple Ruins awaken, with the mottled boundary as their divide.
From Wucheng's blood-soaked mines to a rainy night in Jiangnan, from the power games of Tianji City to the final reckoning overseas.
This stop: the Jueyun Wall. Next stop: Hellgate. Final stop: the Godslayer's Platform.
Do you dare join us in punching a hole through the heavens?
Awesome, awesome, good-looking
